Buses to Disney Springs from Theme Parks After 4pm!

Buses to Disney Springs

Buses to Disney Springs straight from the theme parks!  Big news that doesn’t seem like big news. But it is big!  You can now catch a bus from Walt Disney World theme parks to Disney Springs — but only after 4pm.  That is going to save Disney Resort Guests a whole lot of time if they want to visit Disney Springs for dinner, shopping, or evening activities.

Here’s the official info:

To make it even easier for you to shop, dine and play at Disney Springs™, buses are now available to transport Guests to Disney Springs from Magic Kingdom®Park, Epcot®, Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® starting at 4 p.m. daily. With a drop-off location in the heart of the property, the new service puts you in the middle of Town Center, the newest neighborhood filled with world-class brands, one-of-a-kind eateries and high-quality entertainment.

You can ride attractions through the afternoon, then indulge in one of Disney Springs’ 30+ food and beverage options by night. Or, catch an early fireworks show, then savor some sips at one of the vibrant lounges. Whether you want to end your evening with La Nouba™ by Cirque du Soleil®, a movie at AMC Dine-In Theatres, bowling at Splitstville Luxury Lanes or shopping at the wide-array of retailers (there are over 50 new stores!), you’ll find there’s plenty to enjoy once you’ve had your fill of theme park fun.

While the service from the Parks is intended to be one-way, Disney transportation will continue to be available from Disney Springs back to Disney Resort hotels. And for Guests with their own vehicles, the arrival experience is more convenient than ever with complimentary self-parking, which includes two new parking garages that utilize “smart technology,” making finding a spot a breeze.

I’m kind of surprised about this, yet kind of not.  With the money that Disney has put into Disney Springs, it makes plenty of sense that they would want to make it easier for people to get there from the theme parks.  Obviously they don’t want it to be a 2-way journey — they’d lose a ton of parking revenue if people were able to park at Disney Springs (for free) and get direct access to the theme parks.  But allowing Disney Resort Guests to take buses to Disney Springs directly and then providing direct transport back to their hotel is a really smart move.
