The final performance of La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil at Disney Springs

March 4, 2017

LaNouba

Yet another long-time Walt Disney World entertainment staple is coming to an end.

With over 8,500 performances to date, La Nouba™ by Cirque du Soleil® has been a Disney Springs™ staple for nearly twenty years. Since its inception in late 1998, the show has welcomed many new acts; the most recent additions include a duo of comedic clowns followed by a troupe of world-famous break dancers and a real-life couple skilled in the rarely-seen art of aerial bamboo. La Nouba has been seen by over 10 million Walt Disney World® Resort guests and will continue to dazzle audiences with its breathtaking blend of daring acrobatics and dazzling choreography through 2017, with a final performance scheduled to take place on December 31, 2017.

With ten months to take in a show, you still have plenty of time to be mesmerized by the artistry of the talented La Nouba team.  Call us at 855-434-9397 to book your Walt Disney World Vacation and see La Nouba before it is gone!

Buses to Disney Springs from Theme Parks After 4pm!

August 31, 2016

Buses to Disney Springs

Buses to Disney Springs straight from the theme parks!  Big news that doesn’t seem like big news. But it is big!  You can now catch a bus from Walt Disney World theme parks to Disney Springs — but only after 4pm.  That is going to save Disney Resort Guests a whole lot of time if they want to visit Disney Springs for dinner, shopping, or evening activities.

Here’s the official info:

To make it even easier for you to shop, dine and play at Disney Springs™, buses are now available to transport Guests to Disney Springs from Magic Kingdom®Park, Epcot®, Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® starting at 4 p.m. daily. With a drop-off location in the heart of the property, the new service puts you in the middle of Town Center, the newest neighborhood filled with world-class brands, one-of-a-kind eateries and high-quality entertainment.

You can ride attractions through the afternoon, then indulge in one of Disney Springs’ 30+ food and beverage options by night. Or, catch an early fireworks show, then savor some sips at one of the vibrant lounges. Whether you want to end your evening with La Nouba™ by Cirque du Soleil®, a movie at AMC Dine-In Theatres, bowling at Splitstville Luxury Lanes or shopping at the wide-array of retailers (there are over 50 new stores!), you’ll find there’s plenty to enjoy once you’ve had your fill of theme park fun.

While the service from the Parks is intended to be one-way, Disney transportation will continue to be available from Disney Springs back to Disney Resort hotels. And for Guests with their own vehicles, the arrival experience is more convenient than ever with complimentary self-parking, which includes two new parking garages that utilize “smart technology,” making finding a spot a breeze.

I’m kind of surprised about this, yet kind of not.  With the money that Disney has put into Disney Springs, it makes plenty of sense that they would want to make it easier for people to get there from the theme parks.  Obviously they don’t want it to be a 2-way journey — they’d lose a ton of parking revenue if people were able to park at Disney Springs (for free) and get direct access to the theme parks.  But allowing Disney Resort Guests to take buses to Disney Springs directly and then providing direct transport back to their hotel is a really smart move.

Now through Labor Day, you can check out a few of these exciting additions during the Disney Springs Grand Opening Summer Celebration.

On any given night, there are more than 20 different entertainment acts performing throughout the four Disney Springs neighborhoods. This free entertainment includes a variety of live musicians, improvisational rappers, DJs, Living Statues and, depending on the night you visit, maybe even a roaming illusionist. This summer, you’ll see some local talent including Sleeping Sunset (Pop), The I-4 Band (Top 40), Chaz Robinson (Pop), Casey Conroy (Contemporary/Pop), Plus 1 (Country), Vintage Vinyl (Contemporary with a vintage sound), Dayve Stewart (Jazz), CeCe Teneal (R&B), The Gerry Williams Band (Funk), and The Liam Duncan Trio (Current Acoustic).

Disney Springs Entertainment

Every afternoon, the Marketplace Fountain will be flowing, giving Guests young and old the chance to splash the day away during the Beat the Heat DJ Party. With a combination of chill summer tunes and a variety of ice-cold, frosty beverages (with options for adults and kids) nearby, this will be THE spot to cool down.

Plus, many locations around Town Center will offer some hard-to-pass-up deals, with some lasting all summer. For example right now, a variety of shops are offering 10-60% off select items and purchases including Columbia Sportswear, Lucky Brand, Alex and Ani, Melissa Shoes, Francesca’s Edwin Pearl, JOHNNY WAS, ZARA, LACOSTE, Johnston & Murphy, Sperry, Kipling, UNOde50 and more (subject to change).

And, with festive Grand Opening décor throughout the property, limited-edition “Grand Opening” treats at select locations and roaming Disney PhotoPass photographers with Disney Springs Grand Opening-themed frames to pose with – you will definitely feel there’s something special in the air!

Getting to Disney Springs is easier than ever. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can take complimentary bus transportation that drops off in the heart of Town Center. Or, if you choose to drive, you can access the property from I-4 West via a new connection that leads directly to one of the two convenient parking garages. Both feature complimentary parking and smart technology that identifies open parking spaces. Valet parking is also available.
