Now you have a new option to create and personalize retail custom Magic Bands at Walt Disney World® Resort.
Magic Band on Demand is a new station inside the Tomorrowland Power & Light Co. located near Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom® Park. This new offering is similar to the D-Tech on Demand boutique first introduced in June 2014 at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs™Marketplace.
At the Tomorrowland location, you can choose to create either retail custom Magic Bands or D-Tech phone cases.
When creating a retail custom Magic Band, you can choose from eight different Magic Band colors – including purple – as well as approximately 40 graphics. There will be a few Magic Band graphics that will only be found in this location that salute classic Magic Kingdom Park attractions and icons. In addition to artwork, the retail custom Magic Band can be personalized with a name printed on the outside.
Once designed, the retail custom Magic Band is printed in the location. The printers use UV ink which dries immediately and requires no cooling time. And, for the final step, the custom retail Magic Band can be either associated to your My Disney Experience account, or given to friends and family who plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort soon.
The cost for a retail custom Magic Band is $21.95, while a personalized retail MagicBand is $29.95.
I’m really excited about this! Although Disney has a lot of different accessories for Magic Bands available for sale, I’m not a big fan of adding things on to the basic Magic Band. And while there are plenty of signature Magic Bands available, including limited edition Magic Bands, there was no way to add your name on the outside until now. I love the idea of on demand Magic Band customization. I sure hope they have some Tron designs available!
