The next time you’re in Epcot, head on over to the Germany Pavilion and stop by Karamell-Kuche. One of my favorite treats is the Caramel Apple Oatmeal Cookie, and I almost didn’t buy it. Actually, when I had planned that particular Disney vacation, I had an entire list of items I wanted to try at Karamell-Kuche, and that cookie was not on the list. But as I was looking at the case, something about it appealed to me, and I ordered it.
I made an excellent choice. These massive cookies are moist and chewy, and the homemade caramel drizzled on top accentuated the apple and combined with the oatmeal in a way that made my mouth happy. Just one warning: The cookies are stored in a refrigerated case, and it tastes better after the caramel gets warmed up by the Florida heat and becomes nice and soft and gooey.
